Lauda lauded

Austrian airline, Lauda, had scored a remarkable 98.75 percent in the Bug's on-going survey of international airlines.
In a complex system of marking, The Bug awards points for a number of crucial criteria, including timetable punctuality, passenger comfort, food quality, general service levels and flight attendant demeanour.
Lauda Air scored the maximum points of the 95 percent allocated to getting The Bug to its destination – in this case Vienna from Sydney – alive.
The airline begun by former Formula One great Nicky Lauda scored a further 3.75 percent out of a possible 5 for being on time, serving reasonably good tucker and having flight attendants whose smiles could have been real. It missed out on the full 5 percent award for these categories because of slightly cramped leg room and a reading light that had blown its bulb.
