Who could possibly take your recent presidential election poll seriously when one of this nation's finest political leaders didn't even rate a mention. I refer, of course, to Pine Rivers Shire Council chairwoman and former Bjelke-Petersen minster Evonne Chapman. This fine lady just oozes leadership and it was a travesty of justice not to see her name at the very top of a presidential hopefuls' list. Who on earth did you people poll?

I don't want to be rude but I'm starting to think that your political correspondent Rufus Badinage is a complete wank. He was talking recently about his association with Harold Holt and how he gave Holt the benefit of his economic knowledge gleaned from his student days at Monash University in the 60s. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly confident Monash University didn't even exist then.
