Dear Editor (Re Vienna travel piece, recent net issue)

You'd have to say that no matter how low the temperature of the oil the schnitzel's were cooking in was, they'd still have a lower fat content than Amanda's glorious orbs. How'd you be if you were one of those chairs in Parliament House, and you saw something like that coming towards you? On a more serious note, if "Figmullers with a couple of dots over the u" was a wine-only restaurant, why are there glasses of beer pictured next to the Tafelspitz????
Come on Don, get it right man. You're paid to travel the world on behalf of us poor slobs who can't, so accuracy is a must. If I'm going to sit here, hanging on your every word, at least make sure I'm getting "virtually" pissed on the Cab-Sav, not the local "Home Brew", lovingly fermented with extra hops to remove the taste of breadcrumbs and leftover schnitzelbitz.

Dear Editor,
Just scanned your paper for the first time, enjoyed what I read. As an American, I feel a need to apologise to whomever is left in the world that still looks to the USA as an example of how a democracy is supposed to work.
Our presidential election is the best available example of how an out of control liberal media can affect a country’s image and even the process of electing a leader.
It seems that the Gore camp has decided to count votes until they get the desired result.
It reminds me of a golfer who, when behind by a stroke after the round is over, cries until his opponent finally agrees to play one more hole. Then another, then another, then another.
Pray for us.
