Do you know that one of The Bug's longest running competitions is still to find a winner.
Way back in May 1999 - that's right, Buglanders, a whopping four years ago - we launched Rat Lotto: When Will the Big Bloke Croak?
All readers had to do was write in and nominate the imminent date of death of former Queensland Labor and independent Senator Malcolm Colston. You'll remember that the high-flying Senator beat various travel rort charges because he was riddled with cancer and had only months to live. Some of this country's finest medicos told us this.
The riddle, of course, is that the big fella is still kicking and eating after all this time.
And we at The Bug thinks it's a crying shame that we haven't been able to present the winner of Rat Lotto with an appropriate prize. Don't you?
